As new affiliates, you are bombarded with methods, techniques, and secrets that promise to give you the money and financial freedom you want. The Internet is full of money making training software that promises overnight success. Each claims a unique approach to making money online.

They are unique. They are like authors of the same subject. They are different people, but they all teach the same stuff. As you know, there are tutorials for identifying niches, for search engine optimization, for article writing, and for list building, to name a few. You have to wonder if you will ever get your arms around the subject. There are too many subjects demanding your immediate attention. You have many directions to choose from.

Most of the information you need as “newbie affiliates” is sitting on the Internet free for the taking. You pick a subject and begin exploring it and learning about it. You quickly realize that you are off on a tangent learning something else. Soon, you are on brain overload.

There are three solutions: you can quit; you can continue rowing your own boat; or you can choose to follow a mentor.

  • You can quit.
There is nothing wrong with quitting. That will just make room for the person that really wants to make money as an affiliate marketer.
  • You can continue to fend for yourself.
There is nothing wrong with that either. In fact, many would applaud your efforts. Those that started ten or more years ago and that are truly successful today most likely made it on their own without a mentor. It’s called the school of hard knocks. I ask you, why reinvent the wheel.
  • You can seek out a mentor.
The fact that there are many teachers and coaches available for hire makes it better for the newbie affiliate. They call it competition. No doubt, you will see and read many squeeze pages, landing pages, and sales pages. And, you will see a lot of hype.If you take your time, maybe a week or two, you will find a mentor. Most often, you can sense sincerity and integrity and cut through the sales pitch. Even the most sincere of mentors have to do some selling! Once you choose, stick with them. Give it a chance. Most businesses take a year or more to turn a profit.
  • Learning Internet marketing is hard work but very rewarding work.  Take advantage of the quality money making training software that is available.  You will cut your learning curve in half.
